UNDROP DATABASE

Restores the most recent version of a dropped database.

Syntax

UNDROP DATABASE <name>

Parameters

name

Specifies the identifier for the database to restore. If the identifier contains spaces or special characters, the entire string must be enclosed in double quotes. Identifiers enclosed in double quotes are also case-sensitive.

Usage Notes

  • If a database with the same name already exists, an error is returned.

Examples

Restore the most recent version of a dropped database (this example builds on the DROP DATABASE examples):

UNDROP DATABASE mytestdb2;
